Yoki Safari Promo Inks

The inks for this: http://freakshow6.deviantart.com/art/The-Quest-for-Love-138440192

Some little changes were made from the sketch, most notably the closing of Carmine's eyes. She looked more nonchalant that way, and I prefer that's how she comes off as.

Yoki Safari character sketch

The titular character of "The Quest for Love with Yoki Safari," this is typically what our favorite warrior princess wears (though it is misleading, as she rarely wears a crown at all). The design isn't final, but it's a fair indication of what's to come. Enjoy!

The Mist Stone

In "The Quest for Love with Yoki Safari," the magical Mist Stone brings rain within a certain radius of its location. Rain is scarce where the tiny kingdom of Turnover is located, so King Durango and his team of adventurers go seeking this stone based on an anonymous tip. Unfortunately, the stone is protected with a spell and Durango is shocked and cursed, doomed to slowly but surely lose his sanity.

Yoki Safari Logo

A temporary logo for "The Quest for Love with Yoki Safari." Even though the title may change, and with it, the logo, I intend to keep what I like to call the "tattoo heart" motif in future iterations. Something about it really works for me. Enjoy!

Working on it...

Hello,

Every time I visit my blog, I am saddened at how awful it really does look. Some people are great at tricking out their blogs, but others (like me) are impatient and uneducated about that sort of thing.

I think the first problem I need to figure out is how to get images to be thumbnails...because I hate how blogger seems to insist on cutting the images off at a certain point. Who would actually prefer that, really?

Anyway, I'm tired, so I'm going to not go to bed, opting instead to stay up too late and play Zelda: Link's Awakening on my GameBoy emulator.

Later,
~Andrew

Profile pic

Profile pic, originally uploaded by SnailsvenueDrew.

I figured I'd post this nice and big (well, bigger) since it's so hard to see in my profile and I actually like how it came out.

It is a simple self-portrait of me. That's all. I need to take some time and arm this blog with its own look and feel, as everything is currently temporary. I might go with this light blue/green color scheme, and I'm thinking about giving the blog a new logo since everyone seems to have a hard time reading the font (of course, I have a tendency to pick hard-to-read fonts...).

Anyway, enjoy!

Dragon*Con 2009

Hello there!

So, Dragon*Con 2009, here in Atlanta, came and went this past weekend, and I'm very sad to have seen it go, but I had a great time. Meeting all of the wonderful people and artists has really inspired me, and I hope that next year, I will have a presence there in either the comic artists alley or the art show (we'll see how things pan out, but it's a goal and I'm stickin' to it!). I bought a bunch of stuff that I don't need, as well as some really cool signed prints from the aforementioned great artists I met, and just had an overall fun weekend, which was really great.

To put you in-the-know (don't you feel special), I will be revealing a piece of promo artwork for my new webcomic idea, hoping to get some feedback. A small version of the image will be posted here, but for a larger version, you'll want to check out my DeviantART page (http://freakshow6.deviantart.com).

Anyway, I have to go now. Stay phunky-phresh, homies.

Turnover Concept

Turnover, the setting of my newest original idea, is an upside-down castle town. More on this soon. ;D

Getting There

Hey folks!

Still getting the hang of blogger, so my blog is a tad bit ugly right now. Some of the images are unfortunately cut off on the right side, but I'll figure out if there's a way to fix that soon enough. Just click on the images to see the full art, crop-free.

More images to come soon, I promise.

First Post

Hey there!

I wanted to get an art blog up before Dragon*Con so I could have business cards that would lead people somewhere other than my DA page, and guess what? It's up! There's no art here yet, still preparing that. But while you wait, you can visit my DeviantART gallery here: http://freakshow6.deviantart.com.

Oh, the irony.

Later!
